First Post Toasty

I have always hated the word post except when Eric Frank Russell had James Mowry "post" something in the book Wasp.

HISTORICAL AS WELL AS HYSTERICAL DOCUMENT:

Many many years ago, I learned the word "posting" in its computer sense. Since then I have post toastied many things. I remember laughing at the words "This unfortunate close marred an otherwise helpful posting" as seen in this undated email from the ridiculous client ASU had for many years.d*

This is the first Facebook-type post toasty and online controversy I can remember. There was no real internet yet that everyone was using; just email.

And don't he just make plain old HORSE SENSE!
I'd sure hate to mar an otherwise helpful post toasty!

*What a mess that client was. I can't find the DATE for Christ's sake. Add to that the fact that the PC could only save files with names with EIGHT characters so you could never organize ANYTHING. The Mac was already invented, so how they could sell such machines is beyond me. See office picture below of that era's computer and my office.
