caught him with a fishing net and let him go. The
minute he escaped, his mate came out of nowhere and
they rolled in the dirt under a bush with joy. Then,
they flew off together. NOVEMBER 22,
2014.
It reminded me of a Loren Eiseley story in his
book The Immense
Journey. It's a little overgush for me, but
darned good just the same and it is germane to what
happened today.
Eiseley has caught a sparrow hawk and is going to
take it in for study or something. He keeps it for a
time and then in a day or so he has to take the bird
to the lab or wherever.
