You'll like this set of essays by Tom Hascall Cole, which
include quite a variety of subject matter, information, and
adventure. Cole provides travelogue, fun technical education,
natural history, personal testimony, and a somewhat wacky
world-view. He has a way of focusing on the micro-level as well
as the big-picture. I for one found myself coming to "care"
about the places, people (as well as critters), things and
events that I read about in his book. Cole is a well-known,
accomplished and published avianist; an aviator - he has also
published in the language arts field, and is an accomplished
musician and vocalist (hey, not fair that one guy can do all
this stuff in one lifetime). Anyway, you won't be disappointed -
give it a read!
