1967 I think. I have only a bit part, but I was the first one seen when the curtain opened because the play began with a couple of us "braves" murdering a settler and I got to knife him when he was down and then someone shot us all or something. I was TERRIFED when I saw the curtain open and the packed house. I remember my heart pounding so loud I could hear it.
In one such scene, Charles Brownd, the Chief, had a bowl of salad and Annie tried to take it away from him only it all flew in Charles' face! It was a disaster on stage for a moment—until Charles waited a beat and then said, "Nice shot, Annie." The crowed ROARED. What a save, and what a night! |
