Saguaros BECAUSE OF THE BELOW I THINK THE DATE OF THE PICTURE CAN BE LEARNED. LOOKS LIKE THE SEVENTH OF NOV 2009 AS THE FB POST WAS THE 11TH. Superstitions 11/07/2009 Steve and I went with my new
SELF-INFLATING sleep pad that cost 75 bucks. It was
comfy. I brought black logger, Boston lager and
chelada tomato beer. One of the beers turned out to be
a mix of boston lager and black lager. The black lager
is 11 ounces a bottle. I used plastic bottles, but you
know they are 20-ouncers so two of them are bigger
than three 12-ouncers. We went to bed at 7:30 or so or
even earlier and slept eleven hours. We camped at
HOGAN camp, where there was rock to sleep on. The pad
worked great. No bugs. BUT THERE WERE BATS! We saw
Andromeda and the Square of Pegasus. I had canned
TAMALES. I had my chair and a musician's friend
catalog and a Smithsonian. I only looked at the
catalog. Here are the birds: Black-throated Sparrow 11/07/2009 Superstitions Oh. Lots of them. Cactus Wren 11/07/2009 Superstitions Curve-billed Thrasher 11/07/2009 Superstitions Gambel's Quail 11/07/2009 Superstitions While we were driving in. Gila Woodpecker 11/07/2009 Superstitions Saw him several times. Phainopepla 11/07/2009 Superstitions on the road in. and out! Male and female. Several of them. Rock Wren 11/07/2009 Superstitions hiking out on the eighth. I heard him and then saw him.
AND HERE IS THE FB POST TOASTY.... Why I like Arizona. This is just a couple of miles from the turn-off to Second Water Trail on the superstitions, where we always go and camp under the stars with no yahoos around. No coyotes or mountain lions or poorwills this time, but lots of bats and the Andromeda Galaxy just off of the Square of Pegasus. Slept eleven hours. Drank three beers. SPEAKING OF WHICH, there's a painting of a beer on the sign. See it? Its foam is overflowing. Thank You Friends Back and Front Photos.jpg |
