MOUNT LEMMON 2002, 2003, AND 2003

Golden-crowned Kinglet and Hermit Thrush not Swainson's I don't think.

Golden-crowned Kinglet 10/05/2002 Mount Lemmon I've got a short video of this critter. There were two of them. EXTREMELY ACTIVE. 180 TWITCHES AS THOUGH ON A SWIVEL. Both were Males. Intrepid. Zipping to the ground. Flying up. Yah.

Red-Faced Warbler 05/17/2003 Mount Lemmon
LIFE LISTER. Oh we had a time trying to see this one.
They were singing all around in the tall pines and were invisible.
Finally on Bear Wallow Road we got good views.

I FOUND THIS NOTE WITHIN THE PHOTO BELOW IN THE PHOTOS APP.
This is where we saw the red-faced warbler a while back on May 17, 2003 to be exact. The fire didn't get this place. We saw the red-breasted nuthatch here at this time, one of only four birds we saw on the mountain.
