Elliot and Cooper Roads 5/14/2011 There were some bird watchers who came with a cooler and were going to have their lunch under the roof there. They weren't too sociable or I guess my biker-like looks put them off. I walked around the whole place and when I came back they were still there. I had found a half well quarter-alive toad and put him under a tree and covered him with water. He didn't look alive anymore when I came back. I found a permanent puddle near the firemen's firetruck entrance road. A waterer was leaking. I put him in that and put a rock over him for shade -- not squashing him; I made a little roof with rocks. I think he will just foul the water there when he dies. I could smell propane by those pipe again. I went home and Sandra was online on facebook and we chatted. She invited me to play guitar at the PAISLEY VIOLIN. It's in a scary neighborhood in Phoenix. Mapquest failed me and I had a hell of a time finding the place. I stopped at a Circle K and the guys shopping there helped me. I found the place and I got one of the four parking places right there at the wine bar. Nice. Sandra met me there at seven or so. She had a bass player in tow. His wife was Brazilian, so there was English and Portuguese spoken at the table. One lady there spoke spanish, so we had Spanish at the table too. An American Philippine young lady was with them. She played a mean ukulele and I talked to her a lot. She knew all the Beatles songs and she also played "I'll See You in My Dreams" just like Joe Brown. I played a bunch of songs. They kept telling me to continue. They weren't so much into playing I think because at around 9:20, Sandra said thank you to the crowd which by then consisted of some two people and quit. I should have thought she'd continue. I would have. I would take the opportunity to play to an empty room and entertain the barmaid.
Elliot and Cooper Roads 6/17/2011 After this I went to the Paisley Violin and played. I spoke Spanish for quite a time with some guy from Mexicali. He spoke perfect English too and said that Mexicali was an American city and that was why. That Jen from the center for the arts was there. She had to be at work at five. We started playing really late, so she went on first. That Stacy called Sandra and said she was sick so she didn't come.
Elliot and Cooper Roads 6/18/2011 Nice coyote came by. Hot.
I was sleepy and took a nap on the cement in there. I called sally.
I was sleepy because I stayed up so late the night before.
When I came home from the Paisley Violin, I started watching UTUBE videos and
when I looked up it was three in the morning.
