My cat knows how to use a period or a comma.
This isn't just informal writing. This is writing that will be on a poster. Yet a huge percentage of them have basic literacy errors.
YES, IT COULD USE A PERIOD, BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT'S "IMPORTANT" HERE.
THE APOSTROPHE RE IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT.
THE APOSTROPHE RE ERROR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PUNCTUATION. IT'S A SPELLING ERROR: R instead of 'RE.
