Estero Morua on Sunday, December 28, 2008
Estero Morua 12/28/2008 I went by myself. Oh, I had the place to
myself. Dead bat on the floor. Dead mouse too. Not bad weather at all.
Pretty nice. A cop stopped me on the way home for going 60 k in a 40 k
zone. Nearly gave me a ticket. He looked at my name on my driver's
license and said, "¡Tomás! ¿Tomas?" Har har. I told him I did but I
hadn't had any. He advised conac. He told me the fine was 40 bucks and
I didn't have any money so I told him, "No sé qué quiere que haga." He
said, ¡No tiquete! which I have never heard a Mexican national say. He
perhaps was easy on me because he made fun of my name or maybe he liked
me because I speak Spanish. Anyway he let me go.
