On October 10, 2019, I did a
little Google search for Mrs. Rogers, my third grade
teacher and to my surprise found that an old school
mate of mine said she was looking to contact former
3rd grade students of hers. Alas, it was the wrong
Mrs. Rogers. Off by a year or two though the same
school, Broadmor Elementary in Tempe.
I WILL CONTINUE TO TRY AND FIND THE RIGHT MRS.
ROGERS! Until then, here's where I stand and what
happened when I tried to make contact:

Dear Mrs. Rogers,
I do hope that you are the teacher I had
for 3rd grade at Broadmor. I’m told that there
were two Mrs. Rogers, though, so I will attach
this picture and see if you are the right one. I’m
not in the picture. I must have been sick. I
recognize a classmate, however.
Your husband’s name was Jim, if I recall
correctly. We did square dancing in class and you
had lunch in the cafeteria with us.
Yours,

Thanks for
contacting. Pretty sure I wasn't "your"
Mrs. Rogers. My husband's name was Paul,
and the square dancing wasn't "me." I do
remember that there was another Mrs.
Rogers. Who is the classmate you recognize
in the picture?

Darn! I have a chapter entitled “Mrs.
Rogers” in one of my memoirs.
(SEE:
Recuerdo
de amnesia/Memory of Amnesia CHAPTER
19. Mrs. Rogers)
The student I recognize is Diane Hull, (far
left front row). I think I also see Scott Lamb
(second from left fourth row or maybe last row
left), Linda Rogers (far right second row),
Charlie Nelson maybe (next to the teacher), and
perhaps Mark Levan (second to left second row) and
maybe Jennifer Wheeler to his left.
We both wanted to make the same kind of
contact (says Bill Richardson). Too bad.
Yours,
Tom Cole
