I don't LIKE this guitar! It cost 700 bucks. The so-called fancy issue. It's basically a Yamaha Pacifico. The minute I picked it up I felt the sensation of
CHEAPNESS. Tried to get it set up but it baffled the most skilled luthiers.
I like my RED Variax and the one below whose new tortoise shell pick guard gives it an amazing. Look. The black guitar below has the feel of quality of an expensive American made Strat. It's Chinese.

This is a test. Hope it's here. I'm on my diet and living kind of like a spider in here hoping to get my projects done, but this darned computer and my web page are taking up my time. I practiced guitar today--my polka gig and it's really coming along. Thinking of just using My Taylor Grand Symphony Mini for everything with lots of reverb on it for the Merle Travis stuff. Caught a big catfish on a bass diving lure. Took a while to get the hooks out. One tine was stuck for a while. I threw him back and he bubbled off in search of friendlier company. I wrote this in Foolbook after Brandon posted a fodoe of me playing: "The small but mighty Grand Symphony Mini Taylor guitar. Bobby came and Gailynn came and JAN BRADBURY CAME on his bike, and Gayle from work and her husband Bob came and about eight people from my Spanish Speakers Club and about five from my atheist club. I made 12 bucks in tips and got free beer and snacks! ¡Era un triunfo de primera!" I've already got nine likes. NICE WEATHER TODAY. TEN MONTHS have passed since I saw a cinnamon teal here. Well I saw one today here. Elliot and Cooper Roads 8/16/2011 Quite hot and humid. I went to the open mic and it was for comedians but they let me open with three songs. The comedians weren't very good. One Guillermo un guatemateco as the anfitrión and he was kind of weird. One kid told native american racial jokes. It was over by nine. Actually, there was a an older guy there who did hypnosis and made some guy sleep. Not for me. Will go to Bunna tongight. You know I went to Guitar Center and I discovered the 500-buck CS Mini Taylor. Tiny. HUGE sound. Nice. Elliot and Cooper Roads 11/23/2011 Today I will meet Scott and go to South Mountain but I don't have to mention that because it will be on the Pima Canyon bird list for today. I went to E&C early today. Talked to the fireman whose name I can't remember. He has the metal leg. He told me that a lady came by asking how to get rid of the coyotes. I want to get a taylor gs mini. Went to the dentist Monday and later near REI at that taco stand I bit my lip even though I was trying to be careful. Steve and I went to Tempe Schools Credit Union and got accounts so we can give Bank of America the bum's rush. Sun Lakes 9/16/2018 Took a walk early in the morning. Still working on the album that I may call Pastiche. My new Mahogany Taylor Grand Symphony Mini guitar came in on Friday. Today's Sunday. I put the Baggs pickup in it. I'm pleased with it. Played the spruce mini at the jazz ensemble on the day before. I got the Billy Tipton album on Friday too I think. |

This is my old Variax modeling guitar, READY ROOSTER. I've put on new ghost saddles, butterbean tuners, fret markers, bone nut,
and have replaced the electronics inside as well with ones canibalized from a Chinese guitar.

I put the Baggs pickup in it. I'm pleased with it. Played the spruce mini at the jazz ensemble on the day before. I got the Billy Tipton album on Friday too I think.

left of the red bass against the wall, my Yamaha 12-STRING. Dumb instrument. I'm in Mexico on the couch playing it. You see my fake FENDER STRAT. It had great sound, though. decen pickups.
THE Korean Casino was a piece of garbage. I sold it with rebuilt pickups to some guy in Norway. He got a good deal because it had super pickups by then and a nice case.
The Maple Maurader, that dark thing had iffy action and iffy sound.

Wild West Sweethearts kind of sexist guitar. AND THE SEÑORITA, ABOVE, WHICH YOU REALLY HAVE TO BEAT THE SOUND OUT OF. HEAR ME PLAY IT HERE!
Here are three guitars and a Uke. The first is my 1300-buck Yairi which I can hardly lift anymore and I can't get my gimpy arm around it, so I don't play it. In the Middle is my Grand Symphony Mini Taylor which is a surprisingly loud guitar for its size and costs about 300 bucks more than the cheapo sunburst parlor which is a little bigger but still
small enough. They are all ready to plug in! And the Fender Parlor I'm going to sell because I want the pick-up.
Dig the little teeny weeny Fender sunburst parlor guitar I bought. On the right. I had a credit so it cost me practically nothing. As you can plainly see, it's a parlor guitar with 14 frets instead of twelve. See the $165 LR Baggs M1 pickup I stuck in the sound hole? This partnership makes for one bad little guitar. I'm going to play it at gigs plugged into my sound system. It will crunch and rumble and ring. Its cheap laminated (plywood) top (not found on more expensive guitars) gives it a crispy crackle and a most decidedly affordable list price. Its small size makes it easy to pick up and play.

In the picture, Steve has a PF 10 Ibañez that has pretty darn good sound compared to my violin-colored PF20.

That Ibañez Steve bought is a great guitar. Its sound is excellent--better than my violin finish one I bought in 1993. Look below.
