Dear Dr. Asimov:

Enclosed, please find a copy of a letter by your friend, John W. Campbell to me. It was written in response to a letter I wrote to him when I was nineteen. I was taking him to task about his editorial in the April 1971 issue of Analog. My letter is also enclosed.

I was reminded of this correspondence as I read your autobiography in which you described your first political disagreement with Campbell. I went and dug through my moldering files and found my letter and his intact.

I'm sending copies to you in case you have some sort of archival use for such things.

By the way, I appreciate your good work advancing humanism.

Sincerely,

(signed naturally) Tom Cole
