Sun Lakes    10/28/2018    Spent the night with Frankie and Skippy because Steve's down by Nogales with Dits. That mud in Mysterious Puddle is the slipperiest stuff I ever saw. Can't walk on it when the ground is level. You'll fall. Wrote a chapter in Spanish for what's currently going to be called OVER A CITY BRIDGE.

Elliot and Cooper Roads    11/7/2016    Had the urge to go to that bookstore on Main Street. Hell of a drive. All the streets were torn up too. Easy parking in the end, but I was starving by then. It's a good bookstore. I got an Astounding Magazine with an Eric Frank Russell story and a 16-buck first edition of Invation from Mars with picks from Orson Welles and One Patricia Gardner had her bookplate in it. 206 Walnut Street Nogales, Arizona. No zip. Her note read January 1, 1950. Can't find her on Google. Well it's been 66 years since she had the book first. Need to practice for the party. I'm forgetting the songs. Haven't played a gig in a YEAR!! Nogales Mexico    7/10/2017    I went there. It's only 18 miles from Patagonia. I parked my car for three bucks. Easy. Walked across the border. Hawkers there were annoying. Cuban Cigars--No Bullshit! I bought some sunscreen. Cost about eleven bucks. It was kind of hot. I left in about ten minutes. Nasty place. I saw a huge line. I asked the Mexican official if it was the only line. He asked my age and when I said sesenta y seis he put me in front of everyone and I was out in five minutes! Nice.

Tucson Arizona    3/13/2010    Went down to see Jerry Scott. Steve and I went in my truck. We saw Jerry Scott at his presentation and we stayed three hours or so there at the book festival. I bought some books. WE went to see CRAZY HEART. TWAS VERY NICE. Went to La Fuente for dinner. Lousy taste and really expensive and no a la carte. Sucked. Saw Jeff's new apartment. I slept on the floor on my thermorest matress. Nice sleep, but I dreamed about a rattlesnake. I forgot to bring the darned grapefruit. This weekend was the first two days of SEMESTER BREAK. I mailed my submission to the creative nonfiction people about Lucky the pigeon. Some girl flashed Steve and me on the way back on I-10. Sally drove Jeff to Nogales because he suddenly wanted to fly to Mexico City from Hermosillo.
