Hello Tom:

Thank you for your e-mail, and we are glad to hear you are one
of our habanero funs.  You can find our products in any of the
Southwest Supermarkets or Food City in the Phoenix area.

Thank you again and have a good and spicy day with Castillo Red
Habanero Hot Sauce.

Regards,

Susy Salazar.

Tempe Town Lake 11/02/2002 I had to go into town to look at some resumes for the evening pronunciation class. I took Noodles. Then we went over here. I stopped by Food City to get that Castillo Brand habanera sauce and saw a guy sell a gun to another guy or whatever the dirt ball pigs were doing. I'm going to e-mail Suzy Salasar and tell her to stock that sauce in a higher class joint.

Dear Susy,

Thank you very kindly for your information. I found a
Food City and a Southwest both on the corner of
Arizona Avenue and Ray Road. I bought five bottles of
your habanera sauce. It really is far far better than
any other brand I have tried. Tip: it's out of this
world on lasagna.

Yours truly,

Tom Cole

Dear Susy,  AUGUST 5, 2001

I e-mailed you some time back for information on how
to find your company's fine habanera sauce. Yesterday
I went to Food City and found the product sold out.
Luckily, there was a Southwest Supermarket across the
street and I went in there. Inside, I found a similar
bottle with the name Southwest Supermarkets on it
instead of marca Castillo. I became convinced that it
was the same sauce and that Uds had packaged it
specially to be sold at Southwest Supermarkets. I
bought it and it sure seems the same. Delicious. The
price was right too -- just 99 cents.

Atentamente,

Tom Cole

Hello Tom:
It's nice to hear from usted again..!
And yes we pack private label for Southwest Supermarkets and they have our
two habaneras and regular picante sauce.
It will be very helpful if you give me the address for the Food City store
that does not have our product so that I can see with the distributor and
the broker in Phoenix.
Thank you for your compliments on our hot sauce.!
Best Regards,
Susy Salazar.

Just getting back to you about the hot sauce. I have
laid in a generous supply and have found a new use for
it. You may not know that I make tomato beer, which
calls for Clamato juice and Tabasco. I have found that
while the Tabasco floats on the top of the tomato
beer, the red Castillo habanera sinks to the bottom.
Thus, just as one finishes a tomato beer, they are
greeted with a generous slug of Castillo, which is
most decidedly welcome and agreeable to the palate!

For my recipe for tomato beer, go to
http://www.geocities.com/tomhascallcole/tomatobeer.html

Many thanks, and remember I will continue to sing the
praises of your fine sauce from Maine to Albuquerque.

Yours,
Tom

PS: The stores around here still sell the sauce in
glass bottles. I found the plastic ones to be a real
improvement. Very nice indeed -- and the jumbo size
was great.

Also, I hope that this wonderful sauce will be picked
up by Frye's or Safeway. Food City is little
improvement over the pug-toughie market I used to go
to get it. Food City is a haunt of bums and criminals.
Even in placid Tempe I went to get the sauce at Food
City and some guy pulled a huge double-action pistol
out of his pants and scared me to death, but luckily
he was only SELLING this weapon to some other criminal
in the parking lot. Just lovely. I'm not a fan of Food
City. The Southwest supermarket, sadly, has gone clean
out of business.

Regarding your years-old request for the address of
Food City, I'm a trifle late, but they are on Arizona
Avenue in Chandler, Arizona. The last time I went in,
they had the product in stock.

Elliot and Cooper Roads    09/16/2006    I went alone leaving Honey the puppy dog at home because I had to go shopping. I went and got a lavender sage plant on Arizona Avenue north of Elliot. I bought El Castillo hot sauce at little Juarez, I mean Food City. What a dump.
Elliot and Cooper Roads    9/2/2010    I got up and did my Spanish chatting for an hour. Then I went over to Food City to get that kind of hot sauce I like. Afterwards, I went to that antique store that used to be Payless Cashway. I walked around looking at all their antiques. Finally, I went to Elliot and Cooper Roads. I STAYED FOR HOURS studying the new Spanish material. It was a little warm but okay. I finally went back to my car and sat there with the door open and a cop pulled up. He said he couldn't see anybody in the truck. I told him I went there every day.
Elliot and Cooper Roads    11/8/2010    No electricity in San Juan del Sur today. I tried some guitar and wasn't too successful. I was trying to play "There'll Be Some Changes Made." I went to Food City and got some more hot sauce. Dull, uneventful day. Oh, I started the flash card software. It's ready to go.
Sun Lakes    5/7/2016    I went to the atheist meeting at AJ's. Ate pizza afterwards there and got sleepy. Bought "The hottest hot sauce in the world." It wasn't very hot. They had some little 6 or 7-dollar bottles that had warnings on them. Keep away from children. I'll bet they WERE hot.

Sun Lakes    2/5/2019    2/6  /2/7  2/8  2/9  FOURTH DAY NO BEER AND ALSO DIETING. Went to Steve's today after I drove to Target for a new push broom and then to Food City for Mexico Lindo habanero sauce. Got TEN bottles. Then that damn Rawhide started making noise in the afternoon and I went over to Steve's to avoid it. I have a recording that drowns it out, but I went to Steve's anyhow. They have one tomorrow night too and two days Fri and Sat 6PM to 2AM. I hate them.

Generic Place Anywhere    9/25/2021    Steve and I met at the Mesa Farmer's Market to see Paul Morris and the Hot Beignets. Steve bought crusty bread; I bought hot sauce and hot spice. Later I broke out in welts that went away. I visited Skippy and Frankie. Skippy is making a full recovery to my surprise.
