Chile Sauce I used to buy there

Every time I went to Mexico, I would always stop and Vásquez Liquors and get a KNICK KNACK.
This is an old photo.
I have one for every trip from 81 to up to 2019!

I remember he came by Mom and Dad's house in Chandler.
There was a highway sign I think on 85 with his name.

Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Rosalia Y. Vasquez; sister, Maria Mendoza; 11 children, Aida (Lalo), Ana (Steve) Montoya, Irma Rivera, Sylvia (Rene) Skinner, Raul Jr. (Sylvia) Vasquez, Oscar (Vicky) Vasquez, Lourdes Vasquez-Soto, Rosa aka Pipa Vasquez, Javier (Mari) Vasquez, Joaquin (Roberta) Vasquez, Mario Vasquez; 28 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Raul enlisted in the Army in 1948. He fought in the Korean War where he was wounded and received his Purple Heart Medal. He had strong work ethics and worked various jobs including; 20th Century Fox, Agriculture, Ashton Construction, Ajo Copper Mines and Truck Driver hauling shrimp from Rocky Point to California. He helped build bridges over washes on Hwy. 86 leading to Sonoyta, Mex. He was a retired Civil Engineer from DMAFB where he worked for 30 years on the Golf Course, Road and Grounds and Missile Sites. After his retirement from DM, he went to work with his family's business that he helped establish, now known as Vasquez Liquor's in Sonoyta, Mexico. Raul loved his family, good food, music (especially Mariachi) and traveling. He lived life to the fullest right up to the end and will be greatly missed. We take comfort in knowing he will continue to build bridges for us to cross and pave the way until we meet again. Visitation: Monday, March 28, 2016, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at MARTINEZ FUNERAL CHAPELS.
